Düden Balık Çarşısı in Antalya serves fresh fish at affordable prices

The Düden Balık Çarşısı, located in Muratpaşa district’s Düden Park, is operated by EKDAĞ A. Ş., a subsidiary of the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality. Every morning the market receives fresh catches from the Antalya Fishermen’s Harbor, which are quality‑checked, kept in a cold chain and stored under hygienic conditions. Open six days a week from 12:00 to 23:00, the venue offers a wide selection of seafood—including çupra, lüfer, mırmır, mezgit, calamari, shrimp, mussels, garlic bread and desserts—and also cooks fish on‑site for customers. It draws an average of 400‑600 visitors daily and about 1,000 on weekends. Customers can either take their purchases home or eat them there, with fish soup being the most popular dish. One patron, Christina Türksoy, said, “We liked it very much, the flavors are great, the prices are very reasonable. It’s wonderful that the municipality provides such a service for the public.”
