De Beers London unveils Vibrations high jewellery collection
De Beers London has unveiled ‘Vibrations’, a new high jewellery collection inspired by the transformative power of inland waters. The collection features the brand’s first use of cabochon-cut diamonds, a technical feat that required a five-year development process to achieve a specific soft-focus glow.
To utilize cabochon cuts on diamonds, the jeweler required exceptionally perfect rough stones. The designs, such as the Undulation suite, draw inspiration from landscapes in Botswana, South Africa, and Canada. Specifically, some pieces evoke the Okavango Delta in Botswana.
The collection also incorporates rare rough green diamonds. As part of its connection to these landscapes, De Beers London is engaged in a multiyear conservation project in partnership with the National Geographic Society to protect water sources and diverse ecosystems.
