De Ceuster Bouwkranen riders prepare for Mosselcross in Dendermonde
Cyclocross riders Zita Peeters and Denise Betsema are preparing for the Mosselcross in Dendermonde as members of the De Ceuster Bouwkranen team.
Zita Peeters, an 18-year-old from Lummen, is making her debut in the U23 category at a televised cross. While balancing her professional cycling career, she is also pursuing a teaching degree in Hasselt. Despite facing setbacks such as glandular fever earlier this season, Peeters recently secured a second-place finish in Baal-Tremelo.
Dutch rider Denise Betsema is also aiming for a strong performance following a difficult recovery period. After suffering a severe knee injury in a training accident that required two surgeries, Betsema has been working under the remote guidance of team leader Tom de Kort. Although a recent foot burn interrupted her training, de Kort expressed confidence in her hard work to return to her previous competitive level.
