de Havilland Mosquito TE881 completes first engine runs

The de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk. VI TE881, also identified by its Royal New Zealand Air Force serial NZ2345, has successfully completed its first engine runs. The aircraft is undergoing restoration by Avspecs in New Zealand.

FlyaSpitfire.com announced that the aircraft’s first flight is expected in the coming weeks. The plane will feature No. 23 Squadron markings, coded YP-N, to commemorate the squadron’s historical service at RAF Little Snoring in Norfolk. During World War II, the squadron operated as part of No. 100 Group to disrupt German night-fighter operations and protect Allied bomber formations.
