De Matteis Agroalimentare announces 45 million euro investment

De Matteis Agroalimentare, led by President Armando Enzo De Matteis and CEO Marco De Matteis, has launched a 45 million euro industrial plan to strengthen the Italian pasta supply chain. The investment aims to modernize facilities, increase production volumes, and protect the value of national durum wheat against global market fluctuations.

The plan focuses on two main production hubs: the headquarters in Flumeri (Avellino) and the plant in Giano dell'Umbria (Perugia). In Flumeri, the company intends to increase production capacity by approximately 30% by adding two new production lines—one for long pasta and one for short pasta. Additionally, a new photovoltaic plant will be constructed to reduce the carbon footprint of the milling and drying processes.

In Giano dell'Umbria, the company expects a 10% increase in capacity, focusing on high-value-added manufacturing. Following a 2025 turnover of 236 million euros, the group is targeting an 8% increase in volumes for the current year.
