De Nora advances Milan-area electrolyzer Gigafactory construction

During the presentation of its first‑quarter 2026 financial results, De Nora reported that the electrolyzer Gigafactory being built in Cernusco sul Naviglio, on the outskirts of Milan, is proceeding on schedule. The dedicated Gigafactory section is already completed, and final site‑finishing works, including external works, are underway with an expected completion by the end of the year.

The company has installed the production capacity required under the IPCEI programme, submitted certification documents to the Ministry of Economic Development (MASE), and expects operational validation activities to be finished by the end of 2026. Once operational, the plant will become a strategic industrial hub for De Nora, consolidating core‑business activities currently spread across two sites in the Milan metropolitan area and improving overall operational efficiency in Italy.
