De Ronde Venen to transition waste collection to Cyclus in 2027

The municipality of De Ronde Venen will transition its household waste collection services to a new provider, Cyclus, effective January 1, 2027. As part of this change, the current Afvalwijzer application will no longer be in use.

To facilitate the transition, residents are encouraged to download the free Cyclus waste app, which provides personalized collection calendars, reminders for collection days, and tips for efficient waste separation.

Both the municipality and Cyclus have announced a phased communication plan to address potential questions. All households in De Ronde Venen will receive a personal letter later this year detailing specific changes regarding the disposal of residual waste, organic waste, paper, and plastic.
