De Rossi praises Spalletti following Genoa victory

Genoa manager Daniele De Rossi expressed deep respect for Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti following a 2-0 victory over the Turin side. De Rossi, who previously played under Spalletti at Roma, described him as his greatest mentor and the person who most inspired his decision to pursue coaching.

De Rossi noted that Spalletti’s ability to evolve technically and his tendency to defend his players publicly set him apart from other managers. He characterized their relationship as one of family and friendship rather than just professional connection.

Separately, Spalletti addressed rumors regarding player influence on team tactics. He dismissed claims that Juventus players request specific formations, stating that his squad is professional and would view such interference as a sign of disrespect toward their teammates.
