De Santis family nears 30 million euro acquisition of Tuscan resort

The De Santis family, owners of prestigious Lake Como properties including the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and Passalacqua, is reportedly nearing a deal to acquire the L’Andana resort in Castiglione della Pescaia, Tuscany. The transaction is estimated to be worth over 30 million euros and would involve a transfer of ownership from the Moretti family.

Through their Meta Group, the De Santis family aims to expand their luxury hospitality expertise beyond the Lake Como region. The acquisition is expected to encompass the entire Tenuta La Badiola estate, which spans approximately 500 hectares. This vast property includes a historic villa, various farmhouses, Casa Badiola, a high-end spa, sports facilities, a golf practice area, and renowned gastronomic establishments.

If the deal is finalized, the resort may undergo a period of closure for renovations intended to revitalize its financial performance and implement the group’s signature high-end service model.
