DEAC prepares for MOL Magyar Kupa match against Ferencváros
Third-division football club DEAC is preparing to face defending champions Ferencváros in the third round of the MOL Magyar Kupa. Despite the gap in divisions, DEAC players and coaching staff view the matchup as a significant opportunity to showcase their talent on a televised stage.
DEAC midfielder János Soltész noted that the team felt joy rather than intimidation upon learning their opponent, emphasizing a strategy of organized defense. Coach Elemér Kondás described the match as a gift for the players, many of whom have limited experience in televised games. Kondás, who has not lost to Ferencváros in a decade, expressed that while they are the underdogs, losing to such a strong opponent would not be a tragedy. He encouraged his players to play boldly and enjoy the experience.
