Dead Media director Joseph Scrimshaw launches U.S. theatrical tour

Joseph Scrimshaw, writer and director of the indie horror-comedy ‘Dead Media’, has launched a nationwide theatrical roadshow across the United States. The tour features screenings at various independent micro-cinemas, accompanied by live appearances and Q&A sessions with Scrimshaw.

The film, which serves as an homage to 1990s cult cinema and physical media, follows a young woman and her uncle who encounter a supernatural curse while attempting to watch a lost horror film on a DVD. The plot involves physical interactive elements and bonus features from the disc materializing in the characters' living room.

Produced by Vincent Rutherford and executive produced by Joe Lynch, the film stars Sammi-Jack Martinack, James Urbaniak, Sam Landman, Jessica Fenton, and Anna Sundberg. Following the roadshow, Antenna Releasing plans a limited traditional theatrical expansion on October 2, 2026, with a wide VOD digital streaming release scheduled for October 23, 2026.
