Deadly Car‑Truck Collision on Karabük‑Ankara Highway Claims One Life
A passenger car rear‑ended a heavy truck on the Karabük‑Ankara highway near the Kemikli Ramp, killing 46‑year‑old Y. Y. and seriously injuring eight others, including six children. Emergency services – gendarmerie, police, AFAD, fire brigade and medical teams – responded swiftly, transporting the victims to Karabük Education and Research Hospital. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
The accident caused the car to be crushed and the road to be temporarily closed for vehicle removal and traffic control. Authorities are conducting a legal inquiry into the circumstances of the collision.
