Deadly multi‑vehicle crash in Uruapan, Mexico kills driver, injures five

A high‑speed collision on Avenida San Francisco in Uruapan, Michoacán, involved two pickup trucks and a motorcycle. The crash occurred near the Regional Hospital of Uruapan on Sunday afternoon, killing the driver of a red Nissan pickup and injuring five other occupants, including two minors.

Emergency responders from Rescate Michoacán, municipal civil protection, the local DIF and volunteer firefighters arrived quickly. Hydraulic tools were used to free two people trapped in the wreckage, and the injured were taken to the regional hospital for treatment. Authorities have opened an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and identify responsibility.
