Deadmau5 signs with Independent Artist Group for multi-sector representation

Canadian electronic music producer Deadmau5, legally known as Joel Zimmerman, has signed with Independent Artist Group (IAG) for representation across all business sectors. The partnership aims to expand his intellectual property into film, television, digital content, gaming, and technology.

Under this new agreement, IAG will work to develop opportunities around Zimmerman’s existing portfolio, which includes his video game company Oberhasli Games, his live-performance software platform Auto/Pilot, and the relaunch of his digital series ‘Coffee Run’.

Zimmerman previously held representation with CAA and UTA. He stated that the move to IAG was driven by the agency’s track record in creating crossover content and ownership opportunities as his business evolves beyond music into touring and new technological ventures.
