Actor Ryan Reynolds announced at Fanatics Fest 2026 that a fourth Deadpool movie is now in development. The project is still in its early stages, with no director, writer or release date disclosed, and will draw on lesser‑known comic storylines by Fabian Nicieza and Gerry Duggan.
Reynolds noted that while he sees Deadpool as better suited to a supporting role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the character will return to the big screen. The previous entry, Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), earned over $1.3 billion worldwide, becoming the highest‑grossing R‑rated film ever.
