Deady releases new garage-punk album ‘Hunka Junk’

Louisville-based five-piece band Deady has released their new album, ‘Hunka Junk’, via Romanus Records. The record, which arrived on streaming services on September 18th and on vinyl on September 26th, blends elements of garage rock, punk, post-punk, and noise-rock.

Recorded and mixed by guitarist Chyppe Crosby, the album features a diverse range of sounds, transitioning from high-tempo, aggressive tracks like ‘Systematic Slaughter’ and ‘Hot Damn’ to more melodic or acoustic moments such as ‘Louisville’ and ‘Goodnight Bitch’. Lead singer Mandy Keathley is noted for her expressive, versatile vocal range.

The band, which includes members Clayton Ray and KJ Bechtloff, has established a reputation for high-energy live performances, having shared stages with acts such as FEAR, Lightning Bolt, and Shannon & The Clams.
