Dean Hesketh missing after leaving Royal Preston Hospital, police warn of contagious condition

Lancashire Constabulary are searching for 51‑year‑old Dean Hesketh, who was last seen exiting Royal Preston Hospital at 11:16 am on 28 July. Hesketh, also known as Tim or Anthony Gledhill, is described as 5 ft 4 in, slim‑built, with black hair, blue eyes, and was wearing a khaki‑green and black jacket, black trainers, a Lyle and Scott jumper and a surgical face mask.

Police have warned the public not to approach him because he may have a contagious health condition, though the exact nature of the condition has not been disclosed. Anyone who sees Hesketh is asked to call 999 immediately and to provide any information or footage to the force on 101, quoting log 1051 of 28 July. The search covers Preston, Penwortham and Blackpool, where Hesketh has links.
