Dearborn Mayor invites Macklemore to perform after stadium tour removal

Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud has extended an invitation to rapper Macklemore to perform a concert in the city. The invitation follows the artist being removed from a national tour after his performance at MetLife Stadium, where he made pro-Palestinian statements and comments regarding Israel.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft reportedly barred the singer from performing at Gillette Stadium, which was a scheduled stop for the Loop Tour. The mayor’s offer comes amid significant social media debate regarding the artist's rhetoric and the political climate in Dearborn.
