DeArteSaltandi Festival returns to Piacenza to explore dance transmission

The DeArteSaltandi Festival returns to Piacenza from September 17 to 20 for its fourth consecutive year. The event focuses on the concept of transmission and how dance is passed down through generations.

The program includes conferences, concerts, performances, and workshops. Highlights include ‘Dioscuri’ by Oliviero Bifulco, which explores myth through contemporary space, and Simona Bertozzi’s ‘Le palestriti’, a performance blending dance and sport. Artistic director Riccardo Buscarini noted that the 2026 edition emphasizes participation and views the past as a source of transformation rather than just something to be preserved.
