Death Angel launches fundraiser for founding member Dennis Pepa

The heavy metal band Death Angel has launched a fundraising campaign to support founding member and former bassist Dennis Pepa during his battle with Stage 4 duodenal cancer.

Pepa was diagnosed with the illness in February 2026. A GoFundMe campaign has been organized to assist with his medical treatment at the Immunocine Cancer Center in Mexico, as well as to cover travel, accommodation, and family expenses. The fundraising goal is set at $150,000. Pepa, who helped define the sound of the Bay Area thrash metal group during its early years, expressed a desire to continue being present for his family during this time.
