Death Note: The Musical to return to London Barbican in 2027

Death Note: The Musical is scheduled to return to London’s Barbican Theatre in 2027, running from 23 March until 15 May. The announcement follows a successful, sold-out season at the venue.

Based on the best-selling manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, the production features music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Jack Murphy and Morgan Reilly, and a book by Ivan Menchell. The musical has previously set records at the Barbican for the highest-grossing single week and highest-grossing single performance of a musical.

The story centers on Light Yagami, a student who discovers a notebook capable of killing anyone whose name is written in it, leading to a confrontation with the detective known as L.
