Death of Epstein recruiter Daniel Siad highlights South African ties

Daniel Siad, a 69‑year‑old modelling scout who worked with Jeffrey Epstein, was found dead in his Paris‑area home in Colombes on 20 July 2026. He was discovered by his flatmate, and emergency services were unable to revive him. An autopsy performed on 23 July found no evidence of recent violence and did not establish a definitive cause of death, though Siad’s poor health and a prior heart attack were noted; investigators are awaiting toxicology results.

Siad had been under French investigation for alleged rape and sex‑trafficking and was known for recruiting young women from South Africa for Epstein’s international network. Emails from 2014 link him to Cape Town’s Pure Model Management, underscoring South Africa’s role as a significant node in the trafficking operation. His death has revived scrutiny of those South African connections.
