Daniel Siad dead in Paris suburb, autopsy finds no signs of violence

French modelling scout Daniel Siad, 69, was found dead on 20 July 2026 at his home in Colombes, a north‑west suburb of Paris. An autopsy ordered by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office reported no recent traces of violence, but noted a deteriorated health condition and remnants of an earlier heart attack. Toxicology and pathology tests are pending to determine the exact cause of death.

Siad, whose name appears in the released Jeffrey Epstein files over 2,000 times, was under French investigation for alleged rape, human‑trafficking and other offences linked to the Epstein network. His death terminates the criminal case against him, but the broader investigation into Epstein’s French connections continues. French authorities, including the Office for the Fight against Human Trafficking, remain active, while politicians such as Jean‑Luc Mélenchon have called for a parliamentary commission to probe the affair. The victims’ association Innocence en danger has filed a lawsuit alleging a denial of justice.
