Death Stranding 2 may arrive on Xbox following store event hint

Speculation regarding a potential Xbox release for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has emerged following an upcoming event listed in the Microsoft Store. The event, titled ‘BEYOND THE STRAND’, is scheduled to take place between October 30, 2026, and December 20, 2026, and is tagged as both an ‘announcement’ and a ‘world event’.

While Kojima Productions has not officially commented on an Xbox port for the sequel, the first game, Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, was unexpectedly released on Xbox Series X/S in November 2024. This followed Kojima Productions' acquisition of the franchise's intellectual property rights from Sony.

The event title also coincides with the Kojima Productions 10th Anniversary Exhibition at the Azabudai Hills Gallery in Tokyo. It remains unclear whether the store event refers specifically to the anniversary exhibition or serves as a platform for a major announcement regarding the sequel's availability on Microsoft platforms.
