Death Stranding film director scouts locations in Iceland

Director Michael Sarnoski and cinematographer Pat Scola are currently in Iceland conducting location scouting for the upcoming Death Stranding film. The production team has shared visual updates showcasing Icelandic landscapes, including waterfalls and mossy terrain, intended to replicate the aesthetic of the original video game.

Produced by A24 and Square Peg with the involvement of game creator Hideo Kojima, the film will feature a new, original story set within the game's universe. While the film will utilize a new cast, Sarnoski has suggested that some familiar faces from the game may appear. Filming is planned to take place next year in Iceland and Northern Ireland.
