Death Valley sandstorm disrupts US road trip

A traveler recounted a difficult experience during a road trip through the western United States ten years ago. While traveling from Las Vegas to San Francisco, the trip included visits to several national parks, such as the Grand Canyon, Sequoia, Yosemite, Zion, and Bryce Canyon.

During the journey through Death Valley in California, the travelers encountered extreme heat reaching nearly fifty degrees Celsius. The experience was further complicated by a sandstorm that caused traffic congestion and obscured visibility on the road.
