Deaths reported in Valdivia and Santiago Rodríguez

Two separate deaths have been reported in Chile and the Dominican Republic.

In Valdivia, Chile, Nora Guillermina Rodríguez Martínez passed away following a fall at the Teatro Regional Cervantes. The cultural institution stated that emergency protocols were activated immediately after the incident on August 18, and Rodríguez Martínez was transported to the Hospital Base Valdivia. The theater has expressed condolences to her family and has rescheduled its programmed activities to the Aula Magna of the Universidad Austral de Chile as a sign of respect.

In Santiago Rodríguez, Dominican Republic, Argelia Ramírez de Ferdinand has died at the age of 91. A prominent local figure, she was the founder and owner of Librería Mary, the first bookstore in the area. She was also recognized for her community service and her work as a minister of Holy Communion at the San Ignacio de Loyola Parish.
