Deauville American Film Festival announces 2026 lineup
The 52nd Deauville American Film Festival is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 13, 2026, in Normandy, France. The upcoming edition features a selection of 13 films in competition, with a significant emphasis on new talent, including seven directorial debuts.
Roschdy Zem will preside over the Grand Prix jury, supported by members such as Simon Abkarian, Camille Chamoux, and Laura Smet. The Revelation jury will be led by the singer and actress Lio. The festival's programming includes diverse works such as the black-and-white film ‘Everybody Digs Bill Evans’ by Grant Gee, the animated film ‘Meli-Melo’ by Leah Nelson, and the western ‘A Prayer for a Dying’ by Dara Van Dusen.
Notable participants and honorees include Kristen Stewart, who will present her directorial debut ‘The Chronology of Water’, Scarlett Johansson with ‘Eleanor the Great’, and Julie Pacino with ‘I Live Here Now’. The festival will also pay tribute to the careers of Faye Dunaway, Ethan Fraser, and Brendan Fraser, while presenting the Deauville Rising Star award to actress Sophie Thatcher.
