Debak Health Clinic to receive RM11 million upgrade for maternal and dental care
Construction has begun on an RM11 million upgrade to the Debak Health Clinic in Sarawak to expand maternal, child, and dental healthcare services. The project involves demolishing existing timber structures to build a new, modern block equipped with updated medical technology and comprehensive facilities.
Officiated by Sarawak Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Dr Mohammad Razi Sitam, the project is a collaborative effort between the Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia. The development is scheduled for a 20-month implementation period, running from July 27, 2026, to March 26, 2028.
The upgraded clinic is intended to serve residents of the Debak administrative district and surrounding areas, reducing the need for travel to larger urban centers. The new facilities aim to provide a more conducive and efficient environment for both healthcare personnel and patients.
