Beiersdorf reports slowing Nivea sales decline in Q3

Beiersdorf, the Hamburg-based consumer goods group, reported a slowing organic sales decline for its core Nivea brand in the third quarter. Nivea's organic revenue fell by 4.9% to approximately 1.3 billion euros, an improvement from the 6.7% decline seen in the previous quarter.

The company's overall organic revenue decreased by 1.3% to 2.362 billion euros. While Nivea faced challenges, growth in the dermatology segment—including brands like Eucerin and Aquaphor—and increased demand for the luxury brand La Prairie in China helped mitigate losses.

Additionally, the Tesa segment saw an organic revenue decline of 4.3%, which the company attributed to semiconductor shortages impacting the electronics business. Beiersdorf confirmed its full-year guidance, expecting organic sales to decline in the low single-digit range and an EBIT margin of at least 11.8%.
