Debrecen stabbing fatality and Cremona hailstorm cause destruction

In Debrecen, Hungary, a 23-year-old man has died in the hospital following a stabbing in a park. The attack occurred early Saturday morning when a 64-year-old homeless man allegedly attacked a group of youths after they intervened to protect a woman from being struck by the assailant. While one victim died from a stab wound to the chest, another sustained abdominal injuries and remains in stable condition. The suspect was apprehended two hours after the incident.

In Cremona, Italy, a severe hailstorm has caused widespread destruction and injuries. At least 43 people were treated at the local emergency department, primarily for head and hand injuries sustained while seeking shelter. The storm also caused significant structural damage, including the collapse of a tower at the city's cathedral and damage to the town hall. Local authorities are currently assessing the damage to historical buildings, trees, and schools while prioritizing aid for displaced families.
