Decade raises $85 million seed round to launch AI wealth adviser in Brazil
Brazilian fintech Decade, founded by former Nubank chief technology officer Vitor Olivier and AI entrepreneur Felipe Meneses, announced an $85 million (R$440 million) seed financing – the largest seed round ever raised in Latin America. The round was led by U.S. investors Benchmark, Greenoaks and Diffusion, with participation from Brazilian funds Atlantico and Norte Ventures.
Decade plans to use artificial intelligence, combined with senior human advisers, to help Brazilian consumers manage spending, savings and investments. The founders cite that only about a third of Brazilians hold any investment and just 7 % could retire on their own savings, calling the service a “new generation of millionaires.” The platform will integrate Open Finance data to provide continuous, personalized financial guidance, though no product has been launched yet.
The funding underscores growing investor interest in AI‑driven wealth management solutions for emerging markets.
