Decagon expands AI services to Brazil as Ammonix debuts new architecture
Silicon Valley-based Decagon has opened an office in São Paulo to expand its presence in the Brazilian market. The company specializes in developing generative AI agents for customer service, providing automated interactions via phone calls and WhatsApp. Decagon already maintains partnerships in Brazil with companies such as Mercado Livre and NG Cash. The technology utilizes large language models to follow specific company guidelines and rules to provide personalized consumer experiences.
Separately, Swiss startup Ammonix has emerged from stealth mode to introduce a new AI agent architecture. Founded by Peter Ruppersberg, the former CEO of Cortex, Ammonix aims to reduce AI hallucinations by creating systems that can signal when they lack sufficient information to provide an answer. The company, which operates in Switzerland and the United States, focuses on combining specialized models with language models to create more auditable and controllable decision-making systems for enterprises.
