Decathlon CMA CGM aims to keep 19‑year‑old Paul Seixas with contract extension and new hires
French rider Paul Seixas, 19, finished fourth in the Tour de France, prompting intense interest from major teams. Decathlon CMA CGM, the French outfit that signed him, announced plans to retain him. Team manager Dominique Serieys said contract talks will begin after Seixas takes a two‑week rest post‑Tour, with negotiations slated for mid‑August to early September. The club intends to offer a longer‑term extension beyond his current deal that runs to the end of 2027 and will increase his salary.
To bolster the squad around Seixas, Decathlon CMA CGM will present four to five new rider signings in September, aiming to create a stronger support unit for future Grand Tours. French President Emmanuel Macron has also shown support for keeping the young talent on a French team.
