Decathlon CMA CGM launches women's ProTeam for 2027 season

Decathlon CMA CGM announced that it will field a new women’s professional cycling team starting in the 2027 season. The squad will consist of twelve riders and will compete at UCI Women’s ProTeam level, the second tier below the WorldTour, giving it immediate access to a strong European calendar.

Based at the organization’s Performance Center in La Motte‑Servolex, Savoie, the team is integrated into the NewGen development programme overseen by Guillaume Bonnafond. It will share resources and expertise with the men’s WorldTour operation and is supported by title partners Decathlon and CMA CGM, main equipment partner Van Rysel, and official partners Adecco and Shine by Cegid. The French Cycling Federation, represented by President Michel Callot, will cooperate with the project to promote the growth of French women cyclists. The long‑term aim is to develop talent from road, cyclocross and mountain‑bike disciplines and eventually progress to the Women’s WorldTour.
