Decathlon expands retail presence in Barcelona

Decathlon is expanding its presence in Catalonia through the opening of new City-format stores in the province of Barcelona.

A new 500-square-meter location has opened in the Splau shopping center in Cornellà de Llobregat. This facility employs 16 people and focuses on disciplines such as football, running, swimming, fitness, and padel. The store features the brand's new visual identity and digital solutions, including electronic shelf labels.

Additionally, a new City store exceeding 480 square meters has opened in the L’Eixample district on Carrer del Consell de Cent. This location employs 13 workers and emphasizes circular economy services, including second-hand products, repairs, and rentals. The store also integrates sustainability measures such as low-consumption climate control and water-saving devices.

With these openings, Decathlon has reached 19 stores in the province of Barcelona and a total of 29 establishments across Catalonia.
