Decathlon launches lyocell fluid pants as bridge‑style trousers trend

Decathlon introduced a new yoga‑inspired, fluid pant priced at €29.99 for the summer season. Made from lyocell derived from eucalyptus and blended with elastane, the crop‑cut trousers feature a wide waistband, adjustable cords and a relaxed fit that avoids the compression of traditional denim.

At the same time, the classic "pantalon à ponts" – a double‑buttoned, high‑waisted trouser originating in the 19th century and popularised by Coco Chanel and later Jean‑Paul Gaultier – is experiencing a resurgence for the autumn return. Luxury houses and high‑street brands have modernised the style in various fabrics, and it is now a staple on runways and influencer wardrobes, praised for its flattering silhouette and versatility.

Both items underline a shift toward comfortable, adaptable clothing that blends sporty functionality with everyday elegance.
