Declan Donnelly apologizes for accidental shoplifting at M&S

TV presenter Declan Donnelly has apologized for an accidental shoplifting incident at a Marks & Spencer located at Bridgewater Services. While returning from Cornwall, Donnelly used a self-service checkout to scan items, including an egg and maple bacon sandwich, but inadvertently walked away without completing the payment.

Donnelly recounted the mistake on the ‘Hanging Out with Ant and Dec’ podcast, noting that he only realized the error while eating the sandwich. Fearing potential arrest, he contacted his office to report the incident. Following the mishap, staff at the service station requested that Donnelly make a donation to the charity Mind, which he fulfilled.
