DECO Proteste food basket rises to 255.26 euros
The cost of the food basket monitored by DECO Proteste has risen for the second consecutive week, reaching 255.26 euros. This represents a 52-cent increase from the previous week.
Among the 63 items tracked, horse mackerel saw the highest weekly percentage increase at 23%, rising to 5.46 euros per kg. Other notable weekly increases were seen in zucchini (20%) and tuna in olive oil (17%).
Long-term data shows significant price inflation. Since the start of 2022, the cost of the same basket has increased by 35.99%. Specifically, beef for stewing has more than doubled since January 2022, with a 101% increase to 11.72 euros per kg. Large cod also remains significantly more expensive, up 89% since the beginning of the monitoring period.
