Dedi Prasetyo promotes police-academic collaboration and national safety
Indonesian Deputy Police Chief Komjen Dedi Prasetyo has called for increased collaboration between the Indonesian National Police and academic institutions to address societal issues. During the inauguration of the Police Studies Center at Hasanuddin University, Prasetyo emphasized that universities, researchers, and students should provide critical thinking, research, and practical solutions to complement the police force's field experience.
As part of this initiative, the police signed cooperation agreements with Hasanuddin University and the Muslim University of Indonesia (UMI) to expand the network of police studies centers across the country.
Separately, during a Maulid Nabi commemoration at the Al-Ikhlas Mosque at Police Headquarters, Prasetyo led a collective prayer for the safety of the nation and its citizens. The event included prayers for those affected by natural disasters, such as volcanic eruptions, and for the protection of police personnel performing field duties.
