Deep Purple and Kansas Begin 2026 US Summer Tour

Deep Purple and Kansas launched their 2026 summer tour on Tuesday night at the Red Hat Amphitheatre in Raleigh, North Carolina, with Jefferson Starship opening the show. Deep Purple devoted nearly a third of its set to songs from its new album SPLAT! while also playing classic hits such as “Smoke on the Water,” “Highway Star” and “Hush.” Kansas delivered a nine‑song set heavy on material from the 1976 Leftoverture and 1977 Point of Know Return albums, and founding guitarist Rich Williams joined the band for a rendition of “Dust in the Wind.”

Jefferson Starship will appear at roughly half of the tour’s stops over the next five weeks. The tour will continue to Clearwater, Florida for a Saturday night performance at Baycare Sound and is scheduled to conclude on 12 September in Sparks, Nevada.
