Deep Purple expands 2026 world tour with 40 new dates
Rock band Deep Purple has significantly expanded its 2026 world tour, adding more than 40 new concert dates to its schedule. The tour supports the group’s 24th studio album, ‘Splat!’, produced by Bob Ezrin.
The expanded itinerary includes a major European leg running from late September through late November, alongside additional dates in Latin America. In France, the band is scheduled to perform five concerts in Paris, Strasbourg, Bordeaux, Nantes, and Lyon.
Despite previous discussions regarding potential retirement, bassist Roger Glover confirmed the band has no plans for a final farewell tour. Vocalist Ian Gillan, who has noted challenges due to having approximately 30% vision, continues to perform and adapt to life on stage. Drummer Ian Paice has also suggested the possibility of another album in 2027 if the band finds sufficient inspiration.
