DEEP Robotics announces five advances in embodied AI

DEEP Robotics has unveiled five research advancements designed to support its DEEPRobotics-Brain architecture, an embodied intelligence system intended for real-world robot operations. The research aims to help robots function reliably in changing environments by addressing challenges in physical prediction, navigation, manipulation, and policy optimization.

The five specific developments include the DR-WM-1.0 world model, the DR-VLA-2.0 embodied foundation model, the DR-APO policy optimization framework, the DR-Agent embodied agent, and the DR-Benchmark data and evaluation platform. These components work together to allow robots to anticipate action outcomes, translate human instructions into motion, and revise spatial beliefs.

The research was conducted in collaboration with several academic institutions, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of California San Diego, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Beijing Institute of Technology.
