Deepest diving pools in Europe

Europe hosts several specialized deep-water pools designed for divers and freedivers rather than casual swimmers.

In Belgium, the Nemo 33 center in Brussels features a pool with a maximum depth of 34.5 meters. Designed by engineer John Beernaerts and opened in 2004, the facility contains 2,500,000 liters of unchlorinated spring water.

In Italy, the Y-40 The Deep Joy pool is located near the spa town of Montegrotto Terme in the province of Padova. Reaching a depth of 42.15 meters, the facility includes a glass tunnel that allows visitors to walk beneath the water surface.
