Deepinder Goyal's Temple wearable startup valuation jumps to $375 million

Temple, the health‑wearable startup founded by Deepinder Goyal, has seen its valuation rise to $375 million, nearly double the $190 million it held after a $54 million seed round earlier this year. Around 20 of its 200‑220 employees will be eligible to sell up to 25 percent of their vested ESOPs under a newly launched liquidity programme, allowing staff to benefit before the next fundraising round.

Goyal retains roughly 28 percent of the company, while employees collectively own about 10 percent. Institutional backers include Steadview Capital, Peak XV Partners, Vy Capital and Info Edge, with additional investors such as the family office of Nithin and Nikhil Kamath. The startup has attracted external interest at valuations near $500 million and is preparing for a broader commercial launch of its forehead‑worn device that monitors metabolic state in real time, partnering with manufacturers Ethereal Machines and Zetwerk.
