DeepL and Liner launch MCP solutions to expand AI agent capabilities

DeepL and the AI startup Liner have introduced new solutions utilizing the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enhance the capabilities of AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot.

DeepL has launched ‘DeepL MCP,’ allowing users to access its translation services directly within AI assistants. This integration enables the translation of text and full documents while maintaining original formatting, such as tables and layouts. It also allows enterprises to apply specific glossaries and style rules to ensure consistent terminology and tone without needing external installations.

Simultaneously, Liner has released ‘Liner Actions MCP,’ a tool designed to connect AI agents to over 1,100 external applications, including Slack, Notion, and various calendar services, through natural language commands. This service aims to lower the technical barrier for users by automating the complex process of finding and configuring individual MCP servers and API keys. Liner also provides an API for developers to integrate these connection capabilities into their own AI agent products.
