Deepnoid joins 18 billion KRW Korean ARPA-H project for elderly mental health AI

Deepnoid has been selected as a joint research institution for the 18 billion KRW 'Korean ARPA-H Project'. The company will focus on developing an AI foundation model, known as the 'Elderly Mental Health-Multimodal Foundation Model (EMH-MFM)', to manage elderly mental health. This initiative, part of the 'BCI-INSIDE-OUT' project, aims to integrate non-invasive brain-computer interfaces (BCI), brain imaging, and bio-signals to monitor mental health changes in real-time. The project is led by Samsung Seoul Hospital and is scheduled to run from 2026 to 2030.

Separately, the Clinical Trial Center of Seoul Asan Medical Center hosted the 'AI Medical Imaging Biomarker 2026' symposium. The event focused on the latest technologies in AI-driven medical imaging biomarkers, such as CT, MRI, and PET scans. Experts discussed how AI can quantify disease progression and treatment responses to serve as reliable biomarkers in drug development and clinical trials, emphasizing the need for standardized analysis methods across different medical institutions.
