DeepSigma unveils decentralized perpetual futures testnet for 77 traditional markets
DeepSigma, a team featuring former professionals from Goldman Sachs, Citadel Securities, Google, and Uber, has unveiled a decentralized perpetual futures testnet platform. The platform aims to track prices from 77 traditional financial markets, including US stocks, major indices like the S&P 500 and Nasdaq, commodities such as gold and crude oil, and US Treasury yields.
Built on the Cypherium Layer 1 blockchain, the platform does not directly tokenize or hold underlying assets. Instead, it utilizes external price data to determine contract prices, allowing users to take long or short positions based on price fluctuations. To address the unique risks of traditional markets—such as non-24/7 trading hours and liquidity gaps—DeepSigma has implemented risk management tools including mark price calculation, position limits, circuit breakers, and an insurance fund.
The platform also features an off-chain AI tool for market analysis and is developing a decentralized identity system using zero-knowledge proofs to verify user eligibility without exposing private data on the blockchain. While the current version is a simulated trading environment, a formal launch date for live trading has not yet been announced.
