DEEPX showcases AI traffic infrastructure at ITS World Congress
AI semiconductor company DEEPX is targeting the global Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) market by introducing technology that converts standard traffic CCTV into real-time AI analysis infrastructure. Participating in the 2026 ITS World Congress in Gangneung, South Korea, the company demonstrated its ultra-low-power Neural Processing Unit (NPU) technology, which operates at 1–5W.
This NPU-based technology allows for on-site video analysis, reducing the communication burden on central servers. Key applications include smart intersection traffic volume analysis, pedestrian danger detection in school zones, and detecting accidents or wrong-way driving on highways.
DEEPX is currently pursuing several commercialization projects in South Korea, including smart tolling systems with the Korea Expressway Corporation and railway safety AI projects with Korail. Additionally, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with radar specialist BYDA to develop autonomous driving solutions and partnered with Vietnamese IT firm SotaTek to expand AI semiconductor applications in the traffic, safety, and manufacturing sectors.
