Deer herd blocks traffic on Camino General Belgrano near Villa Elisa, Argentina

On Thursday, July 23, a herd of several deer crossed the Camino General Manuel Belgrano at the intersection with Calle 403 in Villa Elisa, Buenos Aires Province. The unexpected movement caused surprise among drivers but did not result in any accidents.

The crossing occurred close to the Estación de Conservación de Animales Silvestres (ECAS), leading locals to suspect the animals had escaped from the conservation facility. Residents raised safety concerns for both motorists and the deer, and some speculated about possible illegal capture or relocation of the wildlife. Earlier sightings of a single deer in nearby Lisandro Olmos and a wild boar on another local road have also been reported, adding to community unease.

Authorities have been urged to intervene and secure the animals to prevent future incidents and protect public safety.
